Compassion International is a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. Founded in 1952, Compassion now helps more than 1.5 million children in 26 countries.
At Valley Christian Church, we support Compassion International through Sunday School offerings and our Child's Cup fellowship. We currently sponsor three children: Elsabete Tefera, an 18-year-old young woman from Ethiopia; Lavkush Saroj, an 8-year-old boy from India; and Siwakorn Lertsayan, a 9-year-old boy from Thailand.
In addition to our financial support, we also send letters to each of our Compassion children and pray for them. If you would like to write letters, please drop them off at the church office, where they will be mailed is special envelopes to Compassion International.
